Jayne Ozeki Sensei, 7th Dan Shidoin from New York Aikikai, will be joining University of Iowa Aikikai in April 2013. This will be her last seminar in Iowa City, probably her last seminar in the Midwest, and possibly her last seminar ever. Note that Ozeki Sensei is teaching Friday night and Saturday all day. Knut Bauer, 5th dan, Shidoin, from Central Illinois Aikikai (CIA), is teaching Sunday. There will be no class at Mockingbird Hills Community Center on Sat, April 6 so that we may attend this seminar. There will be no class at Mockingbird Hills Community Center on Sat, March 2. Instead, a special class followed by testing from 10am-noon will be held at our sister dojo, KSU Aikido/Tatsumaki Aikikai in Manhattan, KS. Dan-Sensei will be instructing an additional class on Sunday from 10-noon at the same location. Practice will be at Body First Tennis and Fitness Center located at 3615 Claflin Rd, Manhattan, KS 66503. We will be carpooling and staying over night. Get Driving Directions: Capital Aikido - Lincoln is pleased to host Takeguchi Shihan in Lincoln, Nebraska, May 17-19. All aikido affiliations are welcome. There will be no class at Mockingbird Hills Community Center on Sat, May 18, so that students may attend the seminar. Capital Aikido, Lincoln is hosting its annual special Kagami Baraki class on Saturday, Feburary 23rd from 3:30pm to 5:30 pm. Immediately after that class will be a pot luck dinner in the common room of the dojo. All are welcome to practice, join in the pot luck, or both! Musicians feel encouraged to bring your instruments!
