Robert, you truly helped us to remember O'Sensei's words to "always practice in a vibrant and joyful manner." Thank you for making the world, and aikido, a better place. You will be greatly missed.

University of Iowa Aikido Spring Seminar with Harvey Konigsberg, shihan, 7th dan, Woodstock Aikido and John Chiarolanzio, shidoin, 4th dan, Aikido of New Paltz.

April 9
University of Central Missouri Spring Intensive featuring local instructors Chuck Renner of Springfield Aikido, Jaime Obrecht of Capital Aikido - Lincoln, and our own Dan Hayes Sensei.  Practice sessions will start at 10 am and finish with testing at 5:15 pm.  Cost is $20 ($15 for students).

May 6-8
Capital Aikido - Lincoln Spring Seminar with Clyde  Takeuchi of Capital Aikikai.  Cost $90 for the weekend or $70 for Saturday only.

There will be no class on Sat 4/2, 4/9, or 5/7 to allow students to attend these events.

Aikijuku Dojo will be hosting the Aikido Bridge Seminar on March 4–6, 2016 in in Kansas City.

The goal is to build a bridge between Aikido people and organizations for the advancement of Aikido.

Hiroshi Ikeda Sensei (7th Dan, Boulder) and Ryoichi Kinoshita Sensei (7th Dan, Osaka) will be instructing, along with local guest instructors, including: Elliot Freeman (6th Dan, Tenshin), Chuck Renner (5th Dan, USAF), Mick Chambers (5th Dan, Yoshinkan), Larry Graham (5th Dan, USAF), Lloyd McWhirt (4th Dan, Aikikai) and our sensei, Dan Hayes (3rd Dan, USAF).

There will be no class on Sat, March 5 for students and sensei to attend this seminar.

For December:
Mockingbird Hills Community Center will be closed on the Thursdays and Saturdays before/after Christmas and New Year's Day (closed Thu, Dec 24 / Sat, Dec 26 / Thu, Dec 31 / Sat Jan 2).  There will be no class on those days.  Normal class will be held Mon, Dec 28.

For 2016:
We were recently informed that Mockingbird Hills Community Center will discontinue our Saturday classes in 2016.

Master Wes Hall of Kicking Tigers Tae Kwon Do has graciously provided us with a new practice location for  Saturday classes (Thank you, Master Wes!!). Starting Sat, Jan 9, classes will be held at his dojo located at 4834 S 97th Street, Omaha, NE 68127. Stay tuned, as the class time will be changing (likely after 2pm)!

For those of you with children or for those who may be interested in cross-training, Master Wes has a wonderful program. We've been especially impressed with his young students, who regularly demonstrate that martial arts training is life training, not just "learning to fight." Check it out below:

Capital Aikido - Lincoln will be hosting Bill Plank Sensei October 16-18, 2015.

$60 for the weekend, $40 for Sat only.

All aikido friends and family are welcome to attend practice & the potluck.

**There will be no class at Mockingbird Hills Community Center that Saturday to allow students to attend the seminar. Carpooling is available.

Starting August 1, we will no longer be having class on Tuesday evenings. Instead, practice will be held at the same time on Thursday.

Class times will be:

Mon and Thu 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Sat 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Our own Dan Hayes Sensei will be instructing at Central Aikido's Summer Intensive on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Sessions will run from 10am to 5pm at the University of Central Missouri Student Recreation and Wellness Center (in Warrensburg, MO).

Cost for the day is $20 ($15 for students).
